Apex Housing Group secures £6.25m investment

Apex Housing Group has secured a £6.25m investment from BGF to help drive its growth ambitions.

The airspace property developer – which was founded in 2008 – has an extended team of architects and technicians who use modular construction to design rooftop properties to exact specifications, which are then built in an offsite factory and installed using high access equipment.

The business will use the funding from BGF to accelerate its construction programme, with plans to develop 300-400 properties over the next three years.

Arshad Bhatti, CEO at Apex Housing Group, said that following the success of its existing airspace developments, it was excited to be able to build on its relationship with local authorities and meet the growing demand for affordable housing.

“BGF’s investment will enable us to unlock the value in London’s rooftops and we’re looking forward to consolidating our position as market leader in this sector, and growing our temporary accommodation offering to London’s councils.”
